transducer and strawberry report
#1
Hi guys

Newbie here, but long time lurker. Finally decided to create an account.

I fished strawberry for around two hours today and caught 3 cutthroat. There was a lot of slush, but the ice is still thick under it.

Today I was watching the graph on my fish finder and noticed it was starting to freak out. When I looked down the hole to check the transducer, I saw 5 large cutthroats attacking it. Has anyone else had their transducer attract fish like that before? Most of the fish I saw today were 20 ft or deeper in about 40 ft of water.

I was on strawberry today too. Lot of slush and water on top of foot of ice. The fishing was great. Fished about 100 yds of marina. Pulled 5 onto the ice and lost about 4 others right at the top of the hole. I was fishing about 20-25 feet down.

Didn't notice the fish attacking my transducer, but there was times where the alarm didn't stop going off and it was just a stream of fish.

I had a fish up to chesterfield that did the same thing. I dropped my tube jig in front of him and he inhaled it, It was funny he was pissed!

IV had them attack my underwater camera and it wasn't until this year I have had them hit my transducer. Happened at soldier creek. The fish at the berry seem a lot more curious about stuff then any other pond I have ever fished. I know that probably sounds strange but I have seen crazy stuff at the berry

I had the transducer thing happen earlier this year. I was in 30 feet and the float was bobbing up and down for about 30 seconds so I reeled up to it and hooked the fish. Lost it at the hole due to a short fight, but it was 22"+ and I had never heard of a fish attacking a transducer before that. Thanks for the report

Cutthroat seem to be curious, I've had them follow me while kicking around on my float tube at strawberry. They swam right at my feet while kicking with fins for probably 5 minutes or so. Can't explain why they would do this, other than they were curious.
