Strawberry Report
#1
Wow! the slush was horrible on strawberry today. We fished by the main marina and between the snow and slush it was terrible. I hope it freezes again I wanted to go one more time before the season ends. Fishing was good if you could stand the cold feet. We left around 12:30 and we could hardly make it to the truck our feet were so cold and frozen. There was one guy who passed us, he had snow shoes on and he was cruising right along with no problem. Man I wish we had some, I would have stayed longer if we did.

How thick was the ice and how much water/ slush was there?

Do they charge to get at the boat ramp marina or any other places in the winter. Never ice fished it and I might have to give it at least one chance.

Any tips where to hit? I'd appreciate that even in my pm box.

Thanks for the report. So I'm assuming a fourwheeler is out of the question? How much slush did you encounter? Other then the slush was access on and off ok? Thanks again...

Ice was plenty thick. Every time I broke through the snow, which was about every other step the slush was deep enough that water went in the top of my boots.
