Typically when the water gets low in the FL Everglades these small cats make their way into the canals, you'll see them surfacing all over. [signature]

Really? I usually fish the canals along alligator alley (i75) and hwy 27 for bass and have never seen them. I would like to catch a few of these fellas and try them out, I heard they are good eating. Do you know a canal where I can go fish for them? Also what bait do you usually use? [signature]

We caught them just under the NEW one mile bridge on Tamiami canal 8 street "west side" The Army corps of engineers removed a one mile section of the south levee which I believe caused these invasives to have access to this canal. First time ever seeing them here,I went back to fish for them with a Sabiki but didn't see any... You can see them surfacing in this video and soon I'll post the cast net video when we caught 8 ![[Image: mqdefault.jpg]](https://i1.ytimg.com/vi/b-9baix8DXU/mqdefault.jpg) 1:39 Hoplo catfish surfacing [#FF0000]VIDEO LINK[/#FF0000] [inline mile.JPG] [signature]
