so i'm gonna be over at Boardman, OR on the columbia at the beginning of August for a Carp shoot and plan on doing some Walleye fishing in between weekends of carp shooting, anything as far as what is usually working that time of year? I will probably end up pulling cranks and spinner's, maybe alittle jigging with Jiggn-raps or a regular jig-n-twister tail with some crawlers..... any specific depth range or "spots" around there too concentrate on?

Throw a hitch on your boat trailer so you can drag mine up there too! Split fuel 50/50/50/50!

+1 on Rod. He has mad game and seems to have fished and/or hunted everywhere but the best part is that he is passing the craft onto his son. Very curious about the Columbia walleyes so let us know how you do.

I think I've been overrated but thanks for the compliments guys.
Untangler - Right now is the best time to fish for them big eyes. I got 10 days off for spring break, 23rd - 1st. I need to get Avery down to the cabin so he can catch some desert steelhead but that will only take up 3 or 4 days. If you can swing a couple days off we could drag the boat over and case them eyes. Low budget all the way. Just pitch tents at Crow Butte and eat Top Ramen. Let me know.

I think there is a tournament going on this week end out of Umatilla boats will be down as far as Boardman. Watch where they fish.
Just got back from 4 days fishing the Big C out of Kennewick above the McNary dam, where the Snake River comes in. Four guys only 4 eyes..... 8.5#, 7.5# and 2 @ 3#.
A new Or. state record was caught 2 weeks ago 20.3 #
Here is a web site that covers most of the fishing in that area.
