Idaho power is putting a lot of money into it. 20 campsites total, 15 below dam, 5 above. New ramps above and below, some dredging on the below dam side so you can get to the river without making a big loop. The area by the old boarding house is getting redone, there will be mooring and such now. As of now it is scheduled to start July 1st and end middle December. If your a member of the associated general contractors you can probably go to the plan room and take a look.

That's pretty cool, I wonder how much dredging they will do and how much it will change the area.

Does anyone know if they are allowing fishing from the bank while the work is going on?

im sure you will still be able to bank fish and launch a boat while the work is going on might not be able to launch a big jet boat bellow the dam but most people with big jet boats launch at celebration park any ways i think this is going to make the litter problem worse more people more trash just the way it works

I just hope, I get on the wrong road.
I might get to see a Dairy, a dairy that cows go round and round. That's something. Milking!
No more sight seeing.
Keep the wind down.
There are some Huge Bass up from Swan Falls. The wind will keep you in them!
Gett'in back is the problem.
Fish on.

Not sure the state should spend money on that right now, give it too the schools so we don't have too make levys... But that's a different conversation... It should be nice and crowded...

At least they do stuff to improve the fishing and recreation. In WA the power companies don't do **** except for salmon and steelhead, and that's only if the government gets on their back.
Wish they would pay to pave the rest of Strike Dam Road, though. Got a brand new ding in my windshield last time I drove out there. [mad]
