Can anyone share what the conditions at Strawberry is currently. I am not through with the ice fishing ... hopefully... I would like to get in another trip. 3 weeks ago, the snow depth was almost at the top of the fence posts. snow on the ice was 1 inch or less and the ice at Renegade was 30 inches or so. Air temp was 5 that saturday. Slush was non existent. How have conditions changed since then? The snowmobile is calling me as well as the fish, along with a nice sunny warm day. My schedule says I have a free morning to waste. Sounds like the personal conditions could be good for a trip. How about the area conditions?

We (3 of us) hit the soldier creek side on Sunny Sunday and had the best conditions of the year - no slush, a little breeze, & 20+ inches of hard ice with about 4" hard crust.
I really want to thank everyone for NOT being on the harddeck - we took the snowmobiles to an undisclosed location and had our limits of rainbows & koke's by 11 a.m. (3 nice kokanee's, biggest koke at 17")
Was the coolest thing that you were able to see the schools of fish - cutty's, rainbows, and koke's all swimming together and picking at our baits. It reminded me of ice fishing for koke's in Montana as we were all face first looking down the holes as the fish would come through...
Total people we saw at church that day was about 15. Amen!!

This may be a great summer for Kokes! I do not recall a winter where there were so many Kokes pulled through the ice. It would be a riot to catch as many Kokes at Strawberry this summer as one does at FG - one could only hope.
Congrats.

Thanks, Guy's. Sounds like the conditions are still great. My wife and I will be heading out early Saturday morning and spending most of the day. We've been going into the Renegade area all winter and have done very well every trip. We have caught 1 koke so far this year... first koke we ever pulled thru the ice from the Berry.
