These guys all fought awesome, which was a surprise. I actually had to loosen my drag - which I never do. They'd pull and pull, and then flop like crazy as I tried to unhook them. Much, much better than the

twirly-bird routine the 11" planters do. (BTW, Greg, 36 trout and 0 bass so far this year.)

Some of the ones I caught were hideous. Bleached out skin, hooked jaws with the bright red flat spot on the front of the lower jaw, the size of a nickel! Nasty. Didn't hardly wanna touch 'em, they looked so alien...
One of 'em even has a free piercing dangling from its lips, courtesy of a rapala whose bill snapped free.
