Went to Deer Creek Sunday morning. We started fishing by 8 am from shore. The fish started biting around 9 am and last about 90 minutes or so. I think the rising sun got them going. We managed 3 rainbows out of 5 hookups. Had a few other nibbles that were drive-byes. Two were darker males and one bright hen. Got our bites on powerbait and floating crawlers. Not a bad trip for my first time fishing with the girlfriend! I was hoping for better action but they shut down about 10:30 and we split by noon. Great spring weather with a light breeze btw.
