East Canyon Is Open

By buddy asked me to go to EC with him today. We took his boat but it wouldn't start.
The ramp is open but the water is low and it's a long way down the ramp, to the water.
There were a few other boats on the water.
We drove over to Taylor Flats and fished from the shore for a couple of hours.
I only had trolling gear with me so I tried a spoon and a Jakes. Got 4 good bites but no fish landed.
My buddy fished inside the cove at Taylor using power bait. No bites for him.

No docks out yet but there was one ramp between the 2 places to launch.
Beautiful day so it wasn't a total loss.

Thanks for the report Dale, too bad you couldn't get out one the lake for some fishing but good to hear it is finally ice free.

There was a dock there yesterday afternoon when I launched my boat. Trout fishing was good on crankbaits and stick baits. lost more than I landed, boated 8 between 3 of us, at least I got the skunk out of the boat on the first trip. No bass but it shouldn't be long water temp was 41.3
