it was around 55. but with 80's all week next week,, next weekend and the weekend after should be the time to fish! I caught most of my fish slow rolling in 15-20 feet of water but there were a few fish shallow moving up.

not sure on length but it was way more round than anything. I've caught footballs before but this thing was like a rugby ball.

My guess is between 20-22 inches. I caught a 6lb 12oz and it was 22. Some of them are shorter but fatter. Just a guess of course. They definitely have some power to them. Fun to catch.

well played on all accounts. Quite the fish indeed. Seems like a lot of fish - after a point spend more time getting rounder and fatter than longer. Kinda like some of us old men. And there's them that don't consider me THAT old neither.
Nice pontoons there too. Must help when the wind or powersquad, or HUGE toad of a bass gets with ya on the lake.
Thanks for sharing.

the pontoons helped today! one wakeboard boat out on the water and they insisted on buzzing within 20 yards of me on a few occasions. I just don't understand it. [mad]

I have never fished there but will be at a conference in St. George in about 2 weeks. I will have nights free. Could a guy even have a chance at decent fish from the shore?
Any recommendations on what to throw?

the shore is very doable once the water temp starts to rise like it is, I've fished it from shore often. should have no problem catching some decent fish. I'll send ya a pm later tomorrow or monday and let ya know what I would throw.

I've never been to Sand Hollow. Glad that folks are willing to share places you can catch a trophy like this.

What's the water level down there like? Is there any flooded brush left with the lack of water down that a way?

no freshly flooded structure to pitch into. there's still old submerged bushes and what not to drag stuff through over on the east end down in about ten feet of water.
