First Deer Creek Tube trip
#1
I took the tube up for my first quick morning fishing trip of the year. It was a little breezy when I arrived at 6AM so I decided to ditch the Island launch and fish in the more protected Walsburg bay.

Water temp is 48 degrees.

In the two hours on the water I manged to land 6 trout... all on slow dragged wedding rings. Flies and jigging weren't producing this morning.

I shouldn't have worried about the weather, the wind died and the lake was glassy as I left.

Did you try for any SM?

I don't start targeting bass until the water gets warmer -- although when I am targeting bass I usually drag the same wedding ring rig (on my second line while I am casting with my primary) that I was catching on today.

But in 60+ degree water I catch more bass on it than Trout.
