Okay, so personally I have no desire to eat a dog or cat nor am I suggesting that we treat them differently than we already do. And I like dogs too, but who or what elevated dogs and cats above other animals in the animal kingdom such that they get this kind of special protection? Certainly there is no threat of them becoming extinct. And some people have cows for pets and spend a lot of time raising them and putting them in shows, just like dogs and cats. To some cultures cows are holy. So why is it so terrible to eat a dog as opposed to a cow? What's up with this selective reasoing? Just curious.

I have lived there I have even eaten dog before. That is a big step for this county. It is interesting to see a culture like theirs evolve and westernize like this. Just so everyone knows I did not make a habit out of eating dog meat. I own a very great dog that is very loved and could never eat it no matter how hungry I got. It was just a matter of circumstance over in the orient. Sometime you don't have much choice.

There was an earlier thread in which dogs were brought up over and over and in a joking manner so obviously some people had interest in it. I also put ( NFS NON FISHING STORY ) so people like Musky did not have to read it.[/size]

I can see some of your point on not wanting to read unrelated posts but it's not the end of the world. I also want to say thanks to the moderators for getting that idiot post off of this post. When I say idiot post I am talking about mr. four letter word that left us a nice present. I guess he thought it was Christmas and his brain is limited to four letter words.
