Planted in May at 2 1/2 inches long. How big do you think they'd be?

So May is the first time kokanee has been planted in Electric Lake?

Question is, how many survived from being eaten by the other fish. Dumb move to plant minnows in there. The 8 inch long fingerlings would have had a better survival rate then the 2 1/2 inchers.

It's really hard to raise Kokanee (plankton feeders) to large sizes in a hatchery situation. EVERYWHERE that Kokanee are planted, they are planted as fingerling.

In electric lake? That would mean it grew 34" in less then 6 months. Not possible.

It's obviously a joke. Relax man.

Back to the OP, if they were planted in May I don't think they'd be of any size...maybe 3-4 inches???

May of last year? I'd guess they're probably 8 to 10 inches now. Kinda depends on how fertile the water is.

salmon only live for five years so in about 2 more years they will start to be catchable size 2 years after that look out they will be nice if there is lots of plankton.
