I'm not an accomplished walleye fisherman, but I normally mange to catch one or two every trip to starvation. We were on the water a bit after 8, only one other boat the whole morning. hit the banks for small mouth - nothing. trolled for trout- nothing. tried bottom bouncing with worm harness in saltaris bay for an hour. nothing. rabbit gulch - nothing. we did manage 2 trout on a flat fish. surprisingly, I still enjoyed the day. needed a little bit of think of nothing else time. my son enjoyed catching and eating the trout! I plan to make a few more trips and I hope to have more success.
