A buddy and myself hit the shore at Soldier Creek today. We started around 11am. We found fish in the shallow coves. They seemed to avoid the deeper shorelines. Best lure was the 3.5 in white power tubes. We ended the day about 4:30 with 10 cutts to 20 inches.

I was up there as well trolling from a boat. Caught mostly bows and a couple of cuts. About half came at the surface, the rest were caught between 10 & 20 feet. Pink lures were working in the morning and then the bite was on green in the afternoon. Lucky crafts were getting hit on the surface. Cuts were both slot sized, a couple of the bows were over twenty and a couple were planter sized, with about twenty total. The weather was pretty decent with a bit of wind mid-day.

You guys did a lot better than I did. We were up there too from 10:00 till 3:00 and only caught one cut in the slot and two bows. By the way it was me towing that boat in. Poor guys couldn't get there boat started after it killed on them. Hope they made out ok.

Ya that was me, a guy was having a bad day. I was trolling the shoreline of soldier creek and saw a guy waving his life vest. He fished all morning with nothing taking his lure, then his boat developed a short and lost his outboard and trolling motor.

I think it was me you saw towing the broken boat. I was in my silver and black Lund Tyee. I found the poor guy with a seized up Yamaha and a trolling motor losing ground to the current. You probably saw me heading back into the narrows towards the berry at full speed.

I guess there were two boats down...You guys looked pretty comfy there on the beach...I couldn't get in close enough to get the cuts hugging the shore.
