Stopped for a couple of hours at my secret spot.. a.k.a the weber. I tied on a few of the go to flies (sows and pheasant tails) but without any takers. Then I tried something I tied up a while ago but never tested out. I didn't expect to catch anything on it because, well it just looks like a sloppy ball of lint with a bead head. I hooked up with a fatty on the first cast and hooked up with 4 more for the day. I only landed 2 of them due to a "drag malfunction", or at least that's what I'm telling myself. Anyways.. it's weird what a fish will decide to eat sometimes.

Beautiful fish, but where is the picture of the "Ball of Lint"?
I would love to see it. I am always amazed when fish take my tying disasters! [blush]

That's a nice looking fly. I tied up a couple more and tried them today for an hour during my lunch break. It landed me a 19 incher and a couple 17's. Overall not bad for a few minutes on the water.
