The catfishing is HOT HOT on cutler right now. Me and my two boys found a new spot last night and the action was awesome! my fourteen year old caught a hog right at 30" and we caught a couple more in the 25" to 26" range. Using shrimp and crawlers. This was our first night trip ever, we had a ball. We built a fire and used head lamps, fished until about 2am. Can't wait for the flotilla next week... Sorry no picks, we had no camera, but they all went back in and are still swimming [cool]

Yeah Jeff, we found a spot way north of Benson Marina. The fishing was excellent in extremely shallow water. Hope it stays good for a while...

Was it somewhere I sent ya? And did you leave a set of "V"-sticks poking along the beach? If so - that's abouts where I was, just don't tell anyone! I like going there and having no-one around! At most seen the occasional dog fisher - as in stick throwers. I should bring my Kayak there, easy shore launch, shallow floating in the reeds.
I think I might have to rig some stinger hooks, cuz I got some baits slapped hard, then ripped free. But it sure is fun to see that tip take a run. Gets the pup all kinds of excited. I stayed out late a couple weeks back, but it got quiet after dark. Guess ya just never know which way the winds gonna blow.
I do wanna feed a dog-bisuit to a carp. That'll be a screaming deal!
Gimme a heads up if you're doing a night fish, and don't mind some more company.

No Yote - this was nowhere near any of the spots you fed me. Found it all by myself, but it is easy access, so im not sure why nobody else was around... Yeah, i invested in a headlamp, so I need to get my money's worth and do plenty of night fishing. Will let you know next time we plan a late one.
