Late Huntington Report
#1
I went fishing at Huntington last Friday in my float tube and it was awesome. I was catching them with gold spinners and black marabou jigs. I was fishing the highway side, and wanted to fish the south side of the lake but unfortunately I saw lightning and figured that I would need to head back to shore [:/]. I would say I was there for about 4-5 hours and caught about 7.....so glad I went! Btw when I say Huntington I'm referring to the reservoir up Fairview canyon, not the state park Huntington North Reservoir.

I guess a few other interesting things, first when i went there was still some small patches of ice (they are likely gone now) and the water was very cold. Also, driving by Cleveland and Electric I saw no ice. I often fly fish salt creek after my Fairview canyon trips, but when I went the creek was very high, and it was hard to throw a fly out there due to the pace of the creek, however I bet a spinner would do the trick[Wink] I hope someone finds some good info from this, I had a great time, at the reservoir.
