Not a horrible day on the river for fishin in the heat of the day and fighting with the hordes of carp, but i did manage 29, 18, 14 inch cats. Maybe ill go out again tonight and fight the skeeters for my spot

What part of the Bear, she's a big river. I've been impressed by the swarms of what look like skeeters, but they don't seem to get hungry much until after dark.

Yeah same cat twice, the skeeters really arent bad till dark, ive seen alot of 25-30 inch cats out of there this year, the one i got is probably the thinest ive seen, most have been a lil more plump. Headed back out tonight to see if i can do any better. I fish all the way out forest street on the bird refuge almost all the way to the delta. Hoping the carp wont be quite so active tonight, tough to weed though for the kitties during the day.
