Gorge Report?
#1
I see some Koke' trolling reports but has anyone been trout/bass fishing? I am heading up this Thurs. to jig up some Bows' and throw the fly rod for some Bass, putting in at Sheep Creek and will be working towards the dam, any recent hotspots? Thanks!

I was up almost every weekend in May and was pretty much skunked both in Hideout canyon (where I usually do really well) and up by Buckboard. Of course, after I get skunked, I read a bunch of reports of people doing well the last couple of weeks so take my report with a grain of salt.

The fishermen that were doing well that we talked to were all in shallow water. Close to shore and 10-20 feet down. There were a lot of fish on the finder throughout Sheep Creek Bay, just no takers while we were fishing.

I hope you fair better than I have. I'm headed up next weekend so I'm looking forward to a good report! Good luck this weekend!

Bass are on beds and responding well to jigs, drop shot worms, Senkos, etc. It's been great conditions for sight fishing in the morning. There's also a great cicada hatch so top water is good for bass and rainbows. Fly anglers are doing well too. I've using a Rebel Hopper Popper and catching both species. It seems best on the downwind side of the trees where the cicadas get blown out. Water temps are about 62F. Good luck, Ryno

I was up the last weekend in April, fishing about 2 ft. from the shore and killing them, could have left the boat at home [Wink]
