I'm taking my boys to walls burg to camping with a group of people. But I'm headed to D/C to get some fishing in. I wish I had more time to do the thing I love. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time anymore. We will be fishing from the bank. Do you know of any areas that might produce something? My boys range from 3-8 I would love to hopefully see them catch a couple fish. So they can grow to love the sport. Any pointers/tips etc… is always greatly appreciated. THX in advance for your time and response.

Walsburg is a good place to fish. early in the morning you can get rainbows shallow. All day is good for smallies and the occasional crappie. Been fishing there a lot lately.

3 inch senko fished weightless will definatley catch bass in Walsburg.
Poppers in low light will produce smallies too.

I've always been a fan of watermelon seed. Pumpkin is a good option though.

Just wanted to say thx to those who advised me. Unfortunately we got to the camp site to late to get any fishing in. Then the group breakfast was @ 9. Do timing wasn't good for us on this short trip. We tried wallsburg for maybe 1 hr. No luck. Took the boys to Vivian pond on the way home. Managed to catch a couple. Again thx for your willingness to help
