Need advice on a new spinning reel

I am currently considering a Pflueger President 6930 or 6935 but am concerned with its ability to only hold 8-10lb test depending on the model? Will this be good for Strippers and Catfish on Lake Mead? Will it also work for Trout? My current rod is an Ugly Stick Medium-Heavy 7'0".

I have only used Spincast reels growing up with my father so I am still new to this style of reel.

Looks like the 6935 would fit the bill. You can use 10lb braid on it or an 8lb mono. switch out the reels to what ever your fishing. Check out Shimano as well.
