Anyone tried Joes Valley for TM?
#1
I have saved up some money and setup two rods with heavy braid, two rods that should be perfect for the job, purchased bolt cutters, a net that is 26" across by 24" deep, and have enough rapalas, spinners, and fish imitating jellies to cover nearly every species of "bait fish" utah has to offer.

I use most of it for pike at Yuba looking for some big ones, but my wife and I are thinking of giving Joes Valley a whirl. I was wondering if anyone has given it a go, or have any tips they might be willing to share.

Honestly just pictures that show off how awesome your trip was is great, as I don't mind spending several hours on a lake to figure stuff out.

Also, thank you to everyone who posted the stuff on TM release, I have actually been worries about handling them and all those posts and the video the DWR put out were very helpful. I will try my best not to ruin the opportunity for others provided we actually find some fish.

I haven't been since last year and the water was really low then. Contact the water conservancy or national forest for water levels and conditions. Its a nice lake.

I grew up there , and it is one of those places you could get skunked and still enjoy it. (very scenic area)
As for water levels , if you google joes valley cameras, the emery county water district has full time web cams you can view.
I can't help you on the TM this year as I have not made it down there yet. But the TM fishing is generally quite good there. And this being year #5 since they were stocked, some 0ver 40" are starting to show up.

Thanks for your questions, as I am planning my first ever trip there next week. I can't take trailer and boat so I'll be fishing out of an old fashioned round tube. I hope to get some good pics. and maybe a video if I can figure out the GoPro Studio.
