Livewell on 42' Carver
#1
My dad recently moved to a 42' Carver motor yacht and we are planning on taking it out this weekend to drop a couple lines. We would like to use a livewell and bring some anchovies or squid along but the sites selling the wells don't even give you the voltage for their pumps (I assume its 12V).

We would be fishing from the sun deck at the stern which is about 7 feet above the waterline. What pump and tank setup would you recommend we use? We would like a constant flow system rather than a recirculating one as we will be in saltwater.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry I couldn't help on this but I'm curious what you ended up doing?

Ended up getting a Kodiak 32 gallon and put it where an old mini fridge used to be on the sun deck. The fridge already had some lines running so the plumbing wasn't that difficult. We haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it's ready for some chovies!

Good Call! I'd love to hear how it works when you get it fired up, sounds like a winner!
