So, I am blessed with the wonderful opportunity to go to a family reunion this weekend and noticed Fish Lake is pretty close by, needless to say, I plan to sneak away as much as possible. I have never fished there and read that there are some Tiger Muskie. Would love some tips and tricks at catching one of those. I am also trying to get my daughter into fishing and will have my nephew with me, so if there are any go to tricks to help some little ones catch a fish or two that would be great as well! Thanks in advance!!!
Probably will be mostly shore fishing btw

tips and tricks for tiger muskies at fishlake: don't waste your time. Go to Johnson, there are a pretty good number of them there. Fishlake has "some" i guess i would say, but in my opinion that would be the same as going to lake powell and looking for rainbow or brown trout. Probably not gonna happen. Shore is pretty tough at fishlake this time of year, i would look into renting a boat and trolling for trout or going to another lake and shore fishing.

If you don't have a boat, Fish lake can be difficult. You can probably grab some perch, though.
I haven't fished Johnson in a long time, but if they still have a lot of perch, that is a much easier lake for shore fishing. Just put one or two small hooks on the line with a small piece of worm on each. Fish on bottom or on top and you can land perch if they are there.
The other side of the hill is Mill Meadow. You can get into the rainbows there. They used to have a lot of perch, but I think they are nearly gone with the draining of the lake over the last couple of years.
I will also be there over the next week and plan on spending some time at Mill Meadow with nieces and nephews. Unfortunately I have no way to get my boat down there (towing the camp trailer) so I'll be fishing from shore this time.

I'm going over to Fish Lake this weekend too. I have only ever fished it once before and only caught perch. I wll be checking out some of the other lakes around too. I have a canoe, and will be trolling various lures with my girls. I have a few days, so I will be trying various strategies. Mostly I am looking forward to spending some great time with my wife and kids on the lake. Catching a few fish never hurts though. Maybe I'll see you there. Best of luck to you.
