Yuba Pike on the Fly

Hit yuba with the fly rod for the first time ever today and caught my first northerns. Fishing was a little slow with the warm water temps but that was expected. Chucked a big streamer and finished the day with two fish landed, one spit the hook, and multiple hits and follows. As you can tell from my s is was quite the enjoyable outing.

Wouldn't that make one crazy fishing story. Not sure how I would explain to people that I got mauled by a fish.

Sinking like with sinking leader. With the warm water the fish are down deeper.
