It seems I have an aversion to power bait left over from my fly fishing days, but on my last couple of trips to the berry with not much luck, I am willing to give it a try. can any on tell me the proper set up for this/

I don't know about trolling with it but you can drift with it behind a water bobber and about 3 feet of leader. We used to do that when it got real windy out in the boat.

[#0000FF]Why use "Power Putty"? The Gulp worms and grubs work well for trolling applications. Look for some Gulp trout worms...in orange. Rig them like you would a crawler...behind a small spinner blade for extra effectiveness.
And by the way, the Gulp Alive minnows are super for trout. Most colors will work. Either tip a jig with them or fish them on a bait hook behind a spinner or on weighted line. Popular colors are smelt, white, chartreuse and a white/chartreuse combo. But almost any color will work. It is the super scent that seals the deal.

My dad trolls with powerbait all the time and kills it. Nothing special, just a split shot 2-3 feet above a treble hook.
