Lower fish creek
#1
Hi all, I have never had the opportunity to hit lower fish creek this late in the year and am not sure if it is reasonable to expect to do well with dries. I have a day off this week and am debating giving that a try or hitting the berry. I was also hoping to get down there earlier in the year to explore UPPER fish creek for my first time, but I would imagine it is pretty low this time of year. If anyone has any info on what I could expect to see at either lower or upper fish creek this time of year I would really appreciate it. Feel free to PM me if you would prefer. Thank you!

I used to fish it with a dry dropper well into October and did well. This is a great time of year to be up there. I think my best day on the water up there was the first week of October. Over 100 fish with some up to 23". Probably my favorite time of year to fish it.

Was the best time of year to fish it. The chub infestation has taken over LFC as well. It is spotty if best, any more.

The flow in Upper Fish Creek is only 8 - 10 cfs this time of year so the fish are small and spooky. There are still a few good fish caught up there but you have to walk upstream a ways to find them.
Lower Fish Creek is running at 50 cfs the last time I checked and that is perfect for fishing it. There are a lot of chubs but there are some good fish in there also. I think this is the best time of the year if you go in the Beaver access to fish there.
Good luck if you go.
