Hyrum 9-18-14
#1
My boy was able to check off another first at Hyrum dam tonight. A tiger trout and he was all Smiles as you can see in the picture below. The weather held out until it didn't so we got off the water right after 7pm. We were trolling and caught a total of 5 fish in just under 2 1/2 hours. So slow but not a bad night either. The remainder of the fish were rainbows. The coloration on all fish caught tonight was spectacular, the picture does not do the tiger trout justice. No tagged fish for us this time... Maybe next trip.

So satisfying to have a happy son during a fishing outing. Way to go! I hope he gets one with a tag and wins something--just don't let him catch all the tagged fish up there. I'm hoping there are still some to find when I go there in Mid-October and try my luck with my son.

Nice going, putting your some on that tiger, were you trolling when you caught it? I've heard there is a tagged fish contest at East cannon as well.

Nice, good going. Guy showed me a cell-pic of a Tiger claimed to be a 17pounder earlier this year. But - you know how cell phones add 10lbs...

Though it was a number of years back they planted those pups first. Have yet to meet one myself, seems they dropped more browns in this year too. See what this year's ice brings.

Thanks for the report.
