Suweet. Thanks for pointing that out Rocky. Been so busy doing the salsa around the kitchen all day, hadn't even thought of fishing (well, as if - more like,

I wasn't going, so busied myself with other tasks/chores).
Took a brief wander outside with a flashlight. 5 minutes well spent. I think I'm gonna need a bigger bucket! Might just take another gander in a while. So by the new fishing regs, I can bring home a bucket, and go fill it again, right? Or do I have to wait until tomorrow? Suppose I could just go out after midnight, make the neighbors REALLY wonder!
Seemed like in the time I walked down the length of sidewalk, a new crop had creeped. And they were some chunk toads too.

Can't say I practiced selective harvest, if they were big enough to get a hold of, I did. Smarmy swarmies they are! Even had a few doubles! And the ones that still had a "foothold" in the ground put up a pretty good fight! Not to mention the escape artists amongst them.

Gave me an excuse to pull out the bedding, and turnover my bait cooler to - well, bait. Topped it with some tomato skins, then shredded newspaper and tomatillo skins. Serendipity!
My other farming efforts have been paying off too.

If I can make enough to hold until ice, who needs "spits"!

FWIW, if you've ever wondered - Turtles DO like worms! Now which of these would go best with fried worms?
