Looking for Sand Hollow resources
#1
Howdy,

The Barila Brothers, my brother and myself, are planning to fish Sand Hollow in about the middle of Oct. We will have our 14ft tin boat with only an electric TM. And a fish finder, HB 561, that I'm still learning how to use.

We have maps for utah lake, PV, etc that show depth, points, structure. We were hoping some of you fellas could suggest where we might find a map for Sand Hollow. Or any other resource that could help us plan a successful trip down there.

Thanks, Mike

Sand Hollow is so small you will not need a map. Just look at where the other boats are fishing and that will give you a idea of where the fish are at. This time of year I do well on the south west side in 20 ft water.

As previously mentioned, that reservoir is so small you really won't need a map, especially if you have electronics. We spent the weekend down there and were able to find fish all across most of the reservoir, but mostly in the 20-25 fow range. You can fish in front of either dam, in around the submerged rocks, and across the shallow portions and still find lots of hungry fish.

We never did land any trophies, but caught lots of respectable fish.

ha. Sounds like a fish in the barrel kind of thing. We should do just fine.

Did you get a water temp?

Thanks
