Utah Lake Cats?
#1
Gonna take my friend fishing for the first time this weekend. Anyone know how the cats and white bass are behaving right now? It has been a while since I have been to UL and an not sure what will work this time of the year. Thank you.

[#0000FF]Water temps have dropped 10 degrees in the last week and a half. Now only 57 after a cold night. Just got back from Lincoln Beach. Water very low and few fish within easy casting distance of shore. But there are some white bass and a few cats just off the ends of the ramps in several of the harbors. Catch the small white bass and cut them in half for catfish.

Will be posting a report later.

I've been to Lindon Harbor a couple times this last week and did decent for cats, carp and white bass. Definitely not as fast as summer or spring but it won't be a waste of time! We used cut WB, Carp and Sportsman's Warehouse minnows. We did best with the Carp chunks on size 2/0 circle hooks. The WB did well too. Only one hit on the SW minnows though.

There are a lot of WB in the harbor right now and they are decent with a small jig tipped with worm/ cut-bait. I usually rig a couple jigs a foot apart, a couple feet below a bobber. Good luck! Hope you and your friend get hooked!
