Did you try Smith and Edwards? They might have them.

I picked up the quick flip III. Saw the ad for the cover. What do they want for one? I have a tarp over mine right now held in place with bungy cords. Bought a 15,000 btu heater for it. I have to keep the windows open and the thing turned down to 10,000 btu's. We fish in shirt sleeves in it on the coldest of days. My daughter even takes off her boots.

Happy New year everyone![Smile]

My wife bought me a quick Flip II deluxe from Sportmans for Xmas ( yeah, she's great!) I've never had an Ice shelter before, so I don't really know if this is the right tent for me? I have not opened the box yet because it seems too heavy of a unit to be pulling around in deep snow. The box says it weighs a hefty 88 lbs. It feels like 100 LBs in the box? Do any of you with the quick flip II or tents weighing this much have problems pulling them? I do have snowmobiles and use them on the lakes where I can. I'm not too concerned pulling this tent with the Sleds, however, most of the places we usually fish we have to hike in on foot. I'm thinking about taking it back and getting a lighter tent. I saw a frabil 2 man tent at Sportmens for $179 that weighed only 38 lbs, but the quality seemed a bit lacking when I compared side by side to the QuickFlip II ?

Any input on the various Ice shelter/tents and ability to pull them by hand would be appreciated. Should I be concerned with the Quick Flip II 88 lb weight? What is the best quality (light weight) two man tent?

I'm no expert on ice tents but I've used a quick flip II and a frabil and there is no contest, stay with the quick flip. I helped Fishcrazy pull his two man quick flip onto the ice at Schofield and one man could pull it if you aren't going far on the ice or down a steep hill(of course going down would not be the problem). One of the guys posted a message a few days ago about putting something on the sled(bottom)that makes it slide easy. There are a few guys on the site that have the quick flip so hopefully they will respond and give you some good feed back. WH2
