lightweight backpacking floattube
#1
I know that some on here backpack tubes into lakes. So I thought I would post this here too.

I ran across this little float tube company recently. I don't own one of their tubes but they look great for packing into lakes.

A very specialized tube, whose primary design is to be lightweight and packable.

Here is an owner review:

Would love one but the cost is prohibitive.

I know that they are a little spendy, but I don't think they are unreasonably pricy.

I think it is a well designed tube for a special niche market. That means the number sold is going to be less, so their production costs are higher also.

The Outcast Trinity tube, which is also sold as a backpacking tube, is about a hundred dollars more and is 3 lbs heavier.

I am just kicking myself that I didn't know about these before I picked up a Creek Co ODC 420 lightweight (8lbs) when I needed a tube that would pack up smaller than my Fish Cat 4. The ODC is currently priced at $289.

These look nice. Just throw a couple sets of float tube gear on another one of my packgoats to get to the remote lakes.

Looked into packgoats quite a bit a few years ago. Amazing pack animals. Enjoy!
