That makes me cringe, I baby my auger edges that sand would destroy a good cutting edge. Nails on chalk board to me ouch!!! That's why I'm stingy with my auger and won't loan it at all. As for me I'm fine if the ice stays away for awhile I prefer floating and easy mobility if they aren't biting where I'm at. Need to get a few more trolling fixes in before hard water. But come December ill be ready to get the sled out. Later J
