So my buddy Dan and I hit it early for Ducks with no success, so I grabbed my two sons and hit Hyrum around 11:30, fished for about 30 minutes before the wind and rain started. It was a good thing that we had already got 5 fish in 30 minutes so the young boys 7 and 14 did not mind bailing..

Augh! Shouldn't have read this post. I fished Hyrum this morning with three friends and all our boys (9 total). Fished from 8 AM to 10:40 with three fish between all of us. Argh! Second trip in a row that I get skunked.
I was going to blame it on the cold front coming in, but now I can't! Oh well.
Glad you faired well. Especially with your boys. Were they all rainbows?

Yeah sorry to hear that. I was up there a few weeks back and the two guys next to my young boy and I could not keep them off their poles and we could do not better then a snag here and there.
They were all bows, only one of size, but the three we kept due to hooks being swallowed tasted mighty fine tonight..

We had planned on casting lures, but with the wind and with young kids just did bait fishing on the bottom..
