We detoured from our normal Scofield autumn trips to the berry today. We made a tactical error in choosing to troll for most of the morning. We caught 5 fish.
We stopped and jigged for a hour before quitting and caught 8 that way.
That's a slow day for us but we did catch some nice ones just under the 22" slot -- and nothing under 18".

Glad to hear you guys caught some fish. We were also up there today. We launched around 8 at the main marina and had to wait in line for about 15 minutes watching the ' herd ' launch their boats. Finally got on the water and had to navigate through the blanket of fog! We also trolled most of the morning with little success. Thanks for the report.

I was at the Berry on the 8th also. Launched and the main marina into the dense fox. We trolled around for about 2 hours not knowing exactly where we were. The fog lifted around 11 am and we were east of the marina. We caught three nice Cutts by that time. We headed for Renegade and trolled Horse Creek bay and landed one more and then went over to the Meadows and got 6 nice Cutts. No Bows this trip. The weather was awesome. We trolled with spinning gear using dodgers and worms. Next trip we will try jigging and see what we get.
Not a record day but great fall fishing.
