I'd like to find out too. I was hoping to take my boat out one more time this year before winterizing it. Was thinking about going this Thursday before the next storm hits. I've tied up some special jigs to try out.

Friday seems to be a good day to take off from work and hit up Strawberry. Could be the last time on the pontoon for a while. Good start to the weekend for sure.

Roads were snow packed yesterday , no problem getting there ( Byrant's Fork ) Water was a balmy 40 degrees, and I read -2 on the truck screen at 8:30 am in a couple spots driving in. I believe it was 11 degrees in the parking area at Byrants fork when we got there. Perfect pontoon weather. [

I went to Fish Tech today and they called the Strawberry Bay Marina. He said the boat ramp was okay but said the road was a little slick driving in this morning. I'm going up in the morning and taking my boat. He didn't know about Renegade area. I'll report what I find out tomorrow. If your planning on going better do it tomorrow or Friday because looking at NOAA it say 100 percent chance of snow Saturday.

I went up tuesday morning and roads were snowpacked going in but not too bad. Hit -5 on a couple spots but 5 degrees at the ramp....
There were only 3 boats on the lake for the day (three trucks in parking lot) at strawberry and I talked to both of them during the day. Ramp was pertty snowy at the beginning of the day but by 2pm it was definitely getting better (snow melting off). Caught a few fish but it was MUCH tougher than normally this time of year as finding concentrations of fish was difficult and everyone was having the same issue. Fished from the North side of solider to mud creek with only a few concentrations of fish found. Fished from 8am-2pm with only 8 fish and a lot of follows to show for it. Nothing over 23.5" length. Fish were mainly in 17-23' of water when we did find them with very few being shallow. [signature]

I never did get a chance to talk to you to see how you guys did. We were the ones that got in the water when you did. We have 30 minutes of lovely calm water and then the freezing wind came. I hate that. But, the fishies wanted to play and we caught 47 fish between us. Many doubles and good fighters. I was amazed at the quality and size of the fish. We truly have a gem here in our state. I do not take Strawberry for granted. Where else can you go to see fish like that.
I caught all my fish on the black bugger and my friend caught most of his on white. I don't think it matter much now. They were aggressive. It was nice to meet you. [signature]

We are planing on launching from renegade as well but wont be up there till around 1pm. Hope the wind is non existent. We will be in a tan with blue strip seaswirl and 4-5 guys. We typically fish the long shore strait east of the ramp. Good luck to you. [signature]

I will be up there tomorrow but in the boat. We'll probably launch at the Strawberry Bay marina and fish a few spots in that area.
