Strawberry boat ramp and road
#1
The road to Strawberry Bay Marina is snow packed and icy in areas. Some areas are bare but very little. Just take your time going in and you'll be okay. The road past Strawberry Bay looked the same but don't know for sure. Don't know the conditions of Renegade boat ramp.

Two thirds of the ramp is ice and snow free. I would suggest when you go back up the ramp after launching or taking your boat out let most of the water drip off of your boat and trailer to keep it ice free. There were probably 10 boats that launched today. We started at 8:30 and quit at 11:00.

Colder than a mother-in-laws kiss so dress warm.

We fished east of the ramp and did okay. Have had better days. No bows and all cutts were in the slot. Still fun to catch. We used jigs tipped with worm and shrimp.

I'm thinking that after this coming weekend storm the fishing from boats is going to be history. I know I'm going to put mine to bed for the winter.

I'm thinking the same thing about the storm.... I took tomorrow off to get a last boat trip in to Scofield.

It looks like the snow may be here to stay after tomorrow.

And to be honest, let's hope it is a long, deep snow winter.
