The Big Utah Lake Ice Fishing Thread for Winter 2014/2015

Hey guys. I want to spend some time on the ice this year at Utah Lake, and I was hoping we could get all the info and updates that anyone cares to post in one place.

Anyone been there yet this season? I'm sure we still have a while before it's capped, but I'm curious... what's the latest?

Not sure you want everything on one thread, it will get quite overwhelming. But there have been Utah Lake posts and some were ice fishing from the docks and the harbors at least were reported to have ice. Not sure how the recent warming trend has effected it, but its likely to melt with the forecast I seen last night. Anyway since I'm not adding any useful info, I'll quit and leave space for your volume. Later J

Well you got your wish it's called BFT!

I would suggest you check BFT often. I know one guy got to stand on ice at UL last week and another had to stay on the docks the next day.

Stopped by one of the harbors today. Much of the ice, such that there was, has melted or been broken up with the recent wind. What ice that remains is likely to melt in the next few days, based on the weather forecast.
