Anyone checked out the ice thickness at Huntington Res yet this year? Any reports on the snow depth, road conditions, etc? Hoping for some ice fishing this weekend. I figured if Scofield is iced, so will Huntington.
Thanks for any reports.

Huntington always freezes before Scofield so you will be OK for ice. The road is always kept open, so that shouldn't be an issue. Amount of snow and slush can be a problem at times, but this early it should be manageable.

We fished yesterday (Friday) and found 4 inches of ice around the edges out about 30 ft from shore and very slick ice. Past that it was very slushy so we stayed away from the slush. temps when we left around noon was mid 40's. No snow on the ramp. Parking lot is dry. No snow/very little snow on the ice. Fished all types of lures, tube jigs proved to be the most productive.
