New DWR App

The DWR put out an app and it's pretty sweet. You can download your liscenses to your phone and you can also look up stream walk in access areas and a bunch of other stuff. Check it out!

It's pretty nifty, downloaded my licenses but some of the fish identification pictures are the same.

I downloaded the app. Overall I'm disappointed in it. the majority of the app is exactly the same as all of the paper guidebooks. I have been unable to get my licenses pulled up in app. it says my birthday or license number is not valid. I was also expecting a forum of some sort. overall I don't know how much I will end up needing this app. Considering I rarely take my phone fishing or hunting.

Why do you make post after post criticizing the UDWR? It got old about 20 posts ago. They may not be perfect but I doubt that any agency is as bad as you make them out to be.

Seriously? For them to make money they would need to offer some sort of in-app purchases, which I doubt they will. If you don't like DWR then keep it to yourself. Like Kent said it's getting old.

I downloaded it and like it. I like that I can now have my license, my wifes and kids all in one place. If they happen to forget there fishing license then all is not lost.

It would be nice if you could view the guidebooks right from the app instead of having to be redirected to the website. Other than that I like it.

Yeah I wish the guidebook was on there also. Plus the stream access maps.

You can download the PDF for the guidebook and save it to your phone, that's what I did.

Got checked on Deer Creek yesterday, whipped out my phone and showed the officer both mine and my sons licence. it was pretty slick not having to remember which pocket i put the licence in so i wouldn't forget it.....

I have mine on it now I will have to add my wife and the kids. Also will have my wife download it cause she continually forgets where she puts it.

I love the app. Kudos to the DWR for putting it out there. Now I don't have to pay for a reprint fee every time my girlfriend forgets hers at the house.

The app is better then wasting more tree's [laugh]. You should be thinking why your not getting charged for the paper book.

You're right. It is better than using paper for a license. Or cutting trees to make guidebooks. I've been loading the pdf version of the guidebook on my computer and iPhone and iPad for years.

I'm not the one who complained about the app. I pointed out that it is free.
