How's the ice holding up to this warm weather?

The ice is good and thick just how I like my women.....The warm weather has made some slush and water above the ice but not too bad.

hey guys, I am trying to decide, should i marry my girlfriend? It seems like all that comes of marriage is trouble. and no fishing. I am new to the area and we just moved from kentuckky and started working here in idaho falls hoping to go to college in the area sometime.
Anyway not to HIJACK the thread but since we broached the topic of marriage... what do yall think?
I mean, I love her and all but i just dont know if its worth it.

also, ice fishing sounds fun, cant wait to try it!!! some nice fellas at sportsmans wharehose told me all about henrys lake and how to do it and all that. hopefully can get some gear as a early christmas present[Wink]

Teach her to fish or get rid of her.

Mine use to camp in a tent but that hasn't happened since marriage . Teaching her to fish is a great start. Set the rules before the ring. I usually say I am going fishing and there is not much discussion. I have a friend that we have planed to go do outdoor things for a week until she changes his mind the last day.

be careful if you teach her to fish you just might spend all of your time chasing snags baiting hooks and removing fish off of her hook trust me that's no fun if that happens don't forget the whiskey because a buzz is all you are going to catch [Wink]

Tried to drive my truck into the outlet and got stuck . The only way to fish that area is snow machine now .

My wife is as good or better fishermen than me . I also have 8 daughters that were raised with a fishing pole in there hand . My wife doesn't really like ice fishing , but if the grandkids are with me she will be right there .

Thanks For the update Curt kinda looks like muck boots will be mandatory after the rain Sad

I must be lucky the wife chases her own snags takes off her own fish and even changes lures now if its a worm that's a different story. I say if you love them educate them and you may just have a fantastic fishing partner

Hook,

If you love the girl, do the right thing and marry her. If you have any questions about it, marriage might not be the right thing for you.

As others have mentioned teach her to fish and other aspects of being out doors. Don't do everything for her. Let her be part of planning the the fishing trips and other outdoor activities so she gets more involved. If she is not accustomed to that type of activity, be patient with her. You might be surprised how she takes to it. Get her the right kind of clothing so she can be warm and comfortable and enjoy being out. Too many times we just assume our partners know how to dress for the envionment they will be in. Get her quality equipment, not the $5.00 bundle when yours is $50.00.

Take an interest in what she enjoys doing. Try some compatibility.
