So we hit scofield for the first time yesterday. The channel had about 7 inches of ice near the shores. We didnt go out deep to check the ice out there. Butwe moved and located some fish. We caught about 90 between 2 of us over 6 hours. Mostly planted cutthroats, a few rainbows, and only 2 chubbs. The ice is and opens up during the day going out on the main body of water. A good week andthe lake should probably be readytoventure across

We also went to Scofield over the weekend and can confirm what rippinlips posted. We fished near the shore and the ice was about 6 or 7 inches thick. One of the guys from the group next to us ventured out about 50 yards further than we were and said the ice was 2 inches or less. We fished for 6 hours and probably caught 70 fish between 2 of us. (probably missed just as many). Mostly small cutthroat and a few chub. We did have ice cleats on but did not need them on the Norh end where we were fishing.
