Big Brown & DC eyes

The weather lately has been fantastic/weird. I hope it lasts into next weekend, but I'm sure the weather gods are going to puke up snow anytime now.

Fished a few different reservoirs over Thanksgiving break, and caught some rainbows and browns up to 18 inches. The highlight though was a 25 inch brown that hammered a 2.5 inch jig close to shore. It was released after a couple quick photos.

Fished Deer Creek over the weekend. While jigging suspended, I pulled in a walleye and smallmouth. Went back yesterday before heading into work for the nightshift, and pulled in another eye just after the sun went over the hill. It was so warm, I even night fished for awhile. If weather is the same this friday, I may be taking my tube out to DC.

That is a beautiful brown! Nice job. Also good work at DC. That looks like a pretty nice SM from there. Koodos on the eye too! This weather is weird... I wonder if the fish will hunker down for a while when December actually becomes December.? Good fishing to ya!

Thanks! Yeah, I think they will go deeper as soon as it gets cold. The only other time I've caught eyes at DC was in august and september evenings when the water temps were cool, but not cold. Never this late in the year..Weird for sure.
