We made it back to big blue for another round Monday the 8th. We didn't get there till 9:30 and the fishing seemed a little slow compared to Friday. They didn't want anything to do with the white or caramel colored jig I was using last week. Switched to a pepper pumpkin that had a 1/4 jig and went to 6lb leader that did the trick. I ended up catching an even 20 whites and most were big. One being 3 lbs 10 oz ! My buddy caught several too he threw everything in his tackle box at them but most came on dark colors. We got a few bonus fish I got 3 Cutts one being 6.1 lbs and 26 inches. We let all cutts go. It was a fun fish. We moved out to try for lakers and they didn't want anything to do with us.

Nice mess of fish Moosedog. I want to thank you for the info you gave me Friday night at the marina. Went out the next morning and slayed em in about 5 feet of water. Kept looking for ya but alas no Smoker Craft. Had a couple of bigger fish on--cuts or lakers-- but never saw or boated either. Fun fishing for sure and all came in the practically the same spot with a white curly tail and orate jig head. Hopefully see ya up there next year. Or if you get the bug to come down to Starvation for some ice fishing this winter let me know I'll meet you up there.

I'm glad you got into them. They sure are fun to catch. I might take you up on starvation this winter. I love walleye!

Do it--I'll repay the favor. Heading up there tomorrow afternoon to get at least one more time in boat before ice.
Ya those whites are fun indeed. First time I've fished for em. Very similar to walleye fishing but most often hit a little harder. As in any fishing it's all about finding them-can't catch what isn't there.

Nice catch, looks like another great day... I was going to try that area today, but chickened out and went back to Cisco today... Didn't catch a nice batch like that... Did get 8 fish today so I did a little better than last week, but only got 1 big white fish.. Hopefully next year I'll be a little smarter and I can do a little better... But it was sure fun... Sort of cold on the east side this morning, I got pretty cool before the sun finally came up... The toon is fun to fish from, but it does put a chill on things... Catch ya later.. J
