Henry's ice conditions?

Taking a bunch of scouts up to Henry's Saturday with Ironrod, if anyone has the latest ice conditions I would appreciate it. We are planning on going to the county ramp. Forecast is not looking good, lows will barely be below freezing with highs in the forties for the rest of the week. If there is slush on the ice it's going to be a long day.

Today all the slush was frozen I didn't fish but I walked out and talked to a guy at the State Park . The ice is slick on a lot of the lake . If you have cleets bring them . If you have any more questions feel free to ask . Tommarow I will be fishing in front of Wild Rose .

talked to another guy as well today- ice was good with little slush. Shoot me a text on where you want to meet. I told Waters today to forget about the cliff area and maybe hit somewhere further north. Let me know where/when and I'll meet you.

The ice is very slick . Photobill walked out to talk to us today , and didn't have any on . It was a long slow walk .

I think we well go to the Wild Rose. Water clarity there will let the boys see the fish under the shelters hopefully. If anyone is around there in the morning come say hi. I have two big blue shelters, and Ironrod has a red one.

I hear they are catching more over by the county dock and at Staley's. I'd go there if I were you. We've fished in front of WR on Wednesday, part of they day on Thursday, and part of the day today and it has been really slow.

Fishing was slow for us, we started at the Wild Rose, got set up in the dark (2 shelters, 26 poles all baited ready to go) waited and waited and waited for the scouts to show up and drop the hooks down. Finally at 9 I got one of the Scout leaders to answer their phone and they were at the county ramp[crazy]. Packed all the gear back up and headed over there. Met with HooknHunter on the way out for a bit. Got everything set back up at the county ramp and the scouts were telling me about a funny guy giving out weird stickers whose name was Chromejunky, LOL. Meant to come over and say hi but I was so busy trying to get the boys onto some fish I didn't get over before you left ChromeJunky. Overall the fishing was poor, the ice is good with no slush, and the visibility is great. You can see all the way to the bottom in 10 feet no problem.

Friday in front of the hatchery out about 200 yards with white paddle bugs and meal worms 1 foot off the bottom jigging i landed 20 fish over 20 inches in the hours between 745-1115. after 1115am i saw only one other fish caught after that until i left at 130pm.

I ended up catching 4. Fished from 7am till 12pm. Lots of fish checking out the offerings but little commitment. I'll be out at the county ramp again tomorrow. Red Eskimo 3 with bft stickers in the Windows.Swing by I'll hook you up with some stickers.
