Chickened out
#1
We were going to go to the Berry Fri. but the big wind warnings scared us off.
News were saying that wind would be from the saw with high gusts. Main marina ramp being on the North we were afraid of loading in the afternoon as the wind came in.
Anyway we went to Otter Creek instead. No wind at all from 7:30 till about 10:00
picked up and got to about 15 mph till about noon and then tapered off to slight breeze.
Now the fishing took 1/2 hr or so to get things rolling but then it was pretty good till
about 2:30 then the catching died right off. All but two of the fish were nice fat Otter Creek sized fish.
We were throwing Jigs.
Fished there 3 days in the last 1 1/2 weeks this being the best catching.
Some ice about 1/4 to 3/8 inch thick North East of the dam. Ice floating around and then blew into the shore. Thick enough that it did not all break up nor melt by the end of the day.
