Henrys Highlights

We spent the last 4 days fishing the hatchery and in front of the rose, landed a total of 43 fish most of those coming from the first 2 days as once the storm moved in fishing got slow and rather hard with the wind and the snow. Jawjackers froze on the spot and there was no keeping them working. we did really well on orange tiger jigs tipped with meal worms pink paddle bugs and green and orange wooly buggers also jigging produced a lot of fish. we spent today just hiding in the shelter wondering if it would really stay attached to the ice lol Met curt69 hooknhunter and photobill had a great time wish i could have met the other that were up there.

Hope to not hijack this thread, but........

FG,

I know you feel the lake is overpopulated, but after having a look at those fish in person, I have to whole heartedly disagree. Those fish are not hungry at all and are putting on weight like nobody's business. How can in be overpopulated if they are so darn fat?

I have never said they were starving, but it can and will happen if there are #. The food source can only last so long. But I do feel the #s are up there with the amount taken in these posts. (Except Curt69) just kidding.

Thanks guys glad you enjoyed them that sunrise was unreal. we have always done well on paddle bugs but the most fish for us came from the tiger jigs, Yes you are curt and that's hooknhunter in the sunrise photo. Im bad with names but hooknhunter and one of the ones in his party gutted a big fish on the ice and we looked what they were feeding on. Damon came along and said it was very common after he went threw it and we all found it very interesting not sure why that fish was thinking about eating any more, Lol sure seemed like the girls were kicking but we got even by the end of the trip, however mind did kick my butt when it came to big fish lol
