Bountiful
#1
Fished Bountiful today. It was slower than it has been. I caught around 9-10, all around 6-9 inches.

Thanks for the information. Was thinking of trying Bountiful within the next two weeks. What type of fish we those? I've never caught a trout there, just catfish, some LM bass, and a bunch of bluegill.

No ice yet? There use to be trout.

They were all small bows.

It is like all the community ponds. Trout in the winter and catfish in the summer and just enough bass to keep things interesting.

Any ducks on the lake worth viewing?
Buffleheads, Golden Eye, Hooded Mergansers or Ruddy's?
Looking to get some pictures with the big lens.

No, nothing but grebes, geese, and seagulls. Over on the rest area at Farmington bay there are Bald eagles, spoonbills, mallards, gadwalls, widgeons, canvasbacks, redheads, scaup, buffleheads, goldeneyes, pintails, and ruddys. A lot of them hang out close enough to the road for pictures. However, I find it difficult to get the light right at least in the mornings when I am there. PM me if you want a secret spot for some wintertime close-ups.
